Starting at 7:15 PM, junior runners will tackle a single lap of the accurately measured, undulating 1-mile course, which is shaded by trees and perfect for summer evening racing. In addition to the Junior 1 Mile Race, participants can enjoy the camaraderie of the 3 x 1 Mile Relay, affectionately known as the Ice Cream Relay, where every runner is rewarded with a free ice cream at the finish! With entry fees set at just £3 for affiliated club members and £5 for others, this is an event not to be missed. Join us for a night filled with fun, competition, and community spirit!

Sri Chinmoy Races in Bristol take place on weekday evenings every Summer between early May and late July on the "Sri Chinmoy Peace Mile" in Eastville Park.
For junior runners we have three 1 mile races run in conjunction with our senior 2-milers - with the junior race starting at 7.15pm in advance of the senior race which starts at 7.30pm. We also have a 3 x 1 mile relay which is open to any team of three runners (and is loads of fun - the highlight of the series!). It is affectionately being called the Ice Cream Relay as every runner gets a free ice cream at the end of the race.
The course is an accurately measured, undulating 1-mile pavement loop around the perimeter of the park. Shaded by trees for much of its length, the course is perfect for summer evening racing or speedwork. The Junior 1 Mile Race is a single lap of the park.
The cost of each junior race is £3 for members of affiliated running clubs and £5 for all other runners.
Entry is £1 extra on the day so it's best to register in advance if you can.
