Organiser's Description

The 2024 Worcester City Runs Weekend returns bigger and better than ever for our 10th Anniversary!

Join the weekend of celebrations on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September. The ninth Worcester City 10K and Half Marathon will set off on Sunday morning, alongside the popular Junior run returning at 8.45am. We are delighted to bring the return of Paula’s Families on Track, the fun family relay event will take place at Worcester Racecourse on Saturday 14th. Check out what it’s all about on the link below! With so much going on, bring the whole family, your friends or just yourself with a target time! Come and be part of 4000 runners taking part across the weekend!

All participants will receive a t-shirt, medal and goody bag. There is ample city centre parking, baggage services and plenty of fun activities for those not taking part.

Parking

There is limited free car parking at the racecourse and adjacent areas. There is an additional car park within a mile of the racecourse; St Martins Gate Car Park, charges apply on a Sunday.

  • 3k - Restricted to people aged between 11 and 14 years old on September 15th 2024.
  • 1 mile - Restricted to people aged between 6 and 10 years old on September 15th 2024

Race Pack

Your race pack, including chip timing tag and race number will be mailed to UK residents no later than 10 days before the event. International runners will need to collect their pack from Race Information on Race Day.

Any registrations made after Monday 2nd September will not be mailed out and will be available for collection on Race Day from Race Information located in The Hive.

T-shirts will be available for collection after the race, together with your medal and goody bag for finishers only.

Wheelchair Users

Important Information for wheelchair entrants. No separate self-propelled wheelchair race will be staged, and hand cycles will NOT be allowed. If you are competing as an assisted wheelchair entrant, (competing in a regular wheelchair, NO hand cycles allowed), your assistant/pusher must be a successful entrant into the event also. Please note: for safety reasons assisted wheelchair participants will be allocated a race number at the rear of the field. Self-propelled wheelchair entrants may be allowed to start ahead of the main field - we will contact you following acceptance of your registration

REGISTRATION NOTES

Registration fees are non-refundable once your entry has been accepted. You may transfer your entry to another runner, or to another race at the same event for an admin fee no later than Sunday 4th August 2024.

EVENT VENUE

The use of Worcester Racecourse and Croft Road, and Cattle Market as the start/finish areas is by permission of Worcester City Council and therefore is subject to availability on the stated date. Any change to the above may result in alternative arrangements to either the course or the date of the event. Please see Terms and Conditions located at worcestercityrun.com or at the end of registration.

There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED ENTRANTS WITH GUIDE RUNNERS

Please email us at [email protected] with your registration ID and we will issue a code for your Guide Runner to enter the event. Your guide runner will receive a GUIDE RUNNER bib number in their race pack. Please ask them to wear their individual race number on their front, and their GUIDE RUNNER number on their back.

Excellent communication about the race through to volunteers on the course. I knew when to arrive, where to go, the race route was laid out, plenty of water stops. Excellent all around
