Get ready for an exciting evening of racing at the Sri Chinmoy Eastville Park Summer Series JUNIOR 1 MILE - Race 3, taking place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in the beautiful surroundings of Eastville Park, Bristol, Avon. Organized by Sri Chinmoy Tri, this thrilling event invites junior runners to tackle a single lap of the accurately measured 1-mile course, starting at 7:15 PM. Following the junior race, senior participants will compete in their 2-mile races at 7:30 PM, creating an energetic atmosphere for all involved.
In addition to the junior mile races, the series features a fun-filled 3 x 1 mile relay, affectionately known as the Ice Cream Relay, where teams of three can join in on the excitement and enjoy a complimentary ice cream after their race. With its shaded paths and friendly environment, Eastville Park is the perfect venue for young athletes to showcase their speed and enjoy a summer evening of racing. Organiser's Description
Sri Chinmoy Races in Bristol take place on weekday evenings every Summer between early May and late July on the "Sri Chinmoy Peace Mile" in Eastville Park.
For junior runners we have three 1 mile races run in conjunction with our senior 2-milers - with the junior race starting at 7.15pm in advance of the senior race which starts at 7.30pm. We also have a 3 x 1 mile relay which is open to any team of three runners (and is loads of fun - the highlight of the series!). It is affectionately being called the Ice Cream Relay as every runner gets a free ice cream at the end of the race.
The course is an accurately measured, undulating 1-mile pavement loop around the perimeter of the park. Shaded by trees for much of its length, the course is perfect for summer evening racing or speedwork. The Junior 1 Mile Race is a single lap of the park.
The cost of each junior race is £3 for members of affiliated running clubs and £5 for all other runners.
Entry is £1 extra on the day so it's best to register in advance if you can.
