Welcome back!
Following the announcement and guidance from UKA and RunBritain, we are excited to welcome you back to our live events, starting with The Fox on 19 September.
In order to ensure that our events are Covid-19 secure, we will be implementing new safety measures. These measures will vary across different events, but the themes will remain the same until the guidance changes. These are some of the key measures that we have planned.
1. Minimising Contact Points Common contact points including registration, bag storage and water stations will be adapted to ensure that they can operate safely. This means that there might not be a bag storage facility at some events. You are encouraged to take care of your own hydration as much as possible, to minimise contact at water stations.
2. Online Race Briefings All race information will be sent out in advance of race day to avoid the gathering of large groups. A race briefing may be conducted online.
3. Code of Conduct We will be implementing a participant and spectator code of conduct, as set out by UKA.
If and when these guidelines change, we will let our participants know.

The Mercer Surrey Half Marathon Kids' Run, sponsored by Greenfield School, is one of the UK’s largest kids’ running races for those aged 6 – 16. Starting under the main half-marathon gantry, the Kids Run showcases running as a stand-alone sport in a fun and exciting environment.
If you want to inspire your children to want and lead an active lifestyle, the Mercer Surrey Half Marathon Kids Run is a great way to do just that. With hundreds of other children from local schools and clubs taking part, the race serves as a great way to get kids involved in the community whilst having fun with their friends and family. They have the opportunity to make new friends during their warm up.
Every child is clapped and cheered across the main finish line by our thousands of spectators, and will receive a large finisher’s medal which they will treasure for years!
With full road closures in place and a dedicated team of volunteers, the safety of every child is fully addressed and catered for. If your child would prefer to run with youthat’s no problem. They can start at the back of the pack with you / their chosen family member. Your child must be registered to race, but there is no need to register their chaperone.
Parents or guardians must remove the “Child Collection Tag” from their child’s race bib. At the end of the run, marshals will compare children’s race bib numbers with the collection tag numbers to ensure each child departs with the correct adult.
A Pace Pocket is a fabric wristband with a storage pocket for keys/cards/cash etc, and printed pace times for your half marathon.
You can purchase a Pace Pocket during registration. Your Pace Pocket will be sent directly to you 10-12 days before the race. Should you change your target time between now and the race, and would like to swap for a different time, please email info@pacepockets.run at least two weeks before race day to advise on your new target time.
