Organiser's Description
Starting on the shore of Windermere you'll be racing to Tweedies Bar in Grasmere village. To get there you will be trail running and taking on open water swims through Coniston, Windermere, Rydal Water and Grasmere.
You'll run in your wetsuit and swim in your trainers.
Course Details
This is a perfect intro to Swimrun for anyone wary of long runs or cut-off times.
Starting at Wray Castle Jetty the course follows forestry tracks, trails and paths along valleys and over passes in the midst of some stunning and varied Lakeland scenery and of course there are swims in 3 different lakes.
Our Short course is 12.7km in total with 10.8km of running and 1.9km of swimming across 3 separate swims - the longest of which is 780m.
You'll have plenty of time to enjoy yourself and the views with over 6 hours to complete the swims and runs - which could easily be walked with plenty of time to spare!
