Participants can choose from two exciting race distances: the Olympic Distance, which includes a 1500m river swim, a 40km country bike route, and a 10km riverside run, or the Sprint Distance, featuring a 750m river swim, a 27km bike ride, and a 5km run. The new bike route for the Sprint Distance incorporates a popular local time trial course, with a small climb and a thrilling descent, while the run takes you along a fast, flat route around the beautiful Embankment and Russell Park. Aquabike options are available for both distances, and wheelchair racers are warmly welcomed. Organiser's Description

LAST FEW PLACES!!! Bedford Harriers reputation in offering high quality and friendly races is now extended to our Triathlon. We have brought a high-quality event back to the heart of Bedford, and the Triathlon has earned a reputation as a well organised event with superb marshals to rival any other triathlon event both locally and nationally. We hope it inspires the local community and encourages more to participate in the sport we love.

The Sprint distance event was new for 2025. The new bike route incorporates a popular local TT course which includes the small climb up Hill Foot and a fast ride back down on the return. The run route is fast, flat route around the Embankment & Russell Park

Olympic Distance – 1500m River Swim - 40km Country Bike Route - 10km Riverside Run

Sprint Distance – 750m River Swim - 27km Country Bike Route - 5km Riverside Run

We have Aquabike available for both distances & we also welcome wheelchair racers to the event. Please let us know when booking.

Fantastic well organised Triathlon. Everyone was very supportive and it was so well marshaled. No chance of taking the wrong turn as there were so many at each junction. I enjoyed the river swim and the park and countryside were beautiful to run and cycle through.
