Organiser's Description
This is the only event that can recreate the mud, sweat and pain of modern day Royal Marines Commando training. Have you got what it takes? Test yourself across a 6k or 12k course, taking on some of the toughest obstacles straight out of the Commando test book.
Be transported into the military world from the moment you step into our Commando base camp complete with Field Kitchen.
Fortified with crenellations, a moat, portcullis, this 400 year old defensive structure and British icon, creates the perfect backdrop for Commando. Hever Castle represents challenge, heritage, success, and military excellence.
Photographers will be positioned around the course, at the finish line and in the event village to capture you in action.

the course
This is the only event that can recreate the mud, sweat and pain of modern day Royal Marines Commando training.
Choose between our mini Commando, 3K, 6K or 12K for a day that tests your courage, determination and unity. All finishers receive a medal to prove that they’ve conquered the course like a true Commando.
Photographers will be positioned around the course, at the finish line and in the event village to capture you in action.
Our 3K commando obstacle is the perfect option for you and the little ones! The course has 11 obstacles and is suitable for anyone over 7 years old.
Our 6K commando Obstacle Course has 26 obstacles and is suitable for anyone over 8 years old.
Our 12K commando Obstacle Course has 51 obstacles (2 laps minus the first obstacle) and is suitable for anyone 16 years old and over.
Hever Castle Commando offers options for all ages and abilities and we welcome everyone to take part!
camping
We host a family campsite for tents and caravans in the castle grounds, with pitches starting at £30. Go to your Active account and click 'Purchase Merchandise' to add camping to your registration.
spectators
This event is a fantastic day out - we welcome everyone to come along, cheer and enjoy the festival village, castle grounds and event atmosphere. Adult = £12, Child = £6.
mini commando
Recruits aged 3-6 years can test their courage on our mini commando obstacle course. Held within the event village. Here the little ones will crawl and climb their way to victory!
