Unfortunately, we do not allow under 12s to participate in any live event. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18 then we will need a parent or guardian to contact us before signing up so that we can advise them on how to register your place.

What facilities are available?

There will be some public toilets that will be open for our use located at the Visitor Center which is located between the car park and the base camp. There is also a cafe on site which is usually open until around 4pm

We will not have a dedicated first aid team at this event although we will have a fully stocked first aid kit. All staff are first aid trained.

We’re finally bringing the Rosliston Rumble to the weekend! After much convincing and proving that we can behave ourselves, Rosliston Forest have granted us permission for a weekend event and we’ve snapped their hands off! If you’ve been interested in what this venue holds, but couldn’t make our rather exclusive weekday afternoon timeslot then it’s time to get on board.

Rosliston forest is a fantastic venue filled with twists, turns, snaky passages, roots, bumps, holes and swampy bits in the wetter months and to be honest, there’s swampy bits in the drier months too. Pack spare socks.

Course Details

The route is 5.275km long and run through a mix of forest trails and single tracks. Underfoot you’ll have a mix of natural woodland and gravel tracks and I can guarantee that it will be extremely muddy in places so I’d recommend trail shoes if possible.

Please be aware that the route will have some very muddy areas so you will need extra shoes and socks to change into before you head home unless you like filling the car with the excess mud!

If the route ends up being unrunnable due to the mud then we will have an alternate in place with a similar length and character, but this will only be used in the worst case. You can see the route and download a GPX file through the link below.

The event will be taking place on and around a working forest that will still be open to the public. Runners will not have the right of way and we will need to be considerate to all the other users of the area, be it walkers, cyclists, dog walkers, and children when passing through any of the “activity areas” of the forest.

There is a time limit of 6 hours for this event starting at 10am. This means that you need to have completed your final lap before the end of the 6 hours for it to be counted towards your final distance. Each lap will be 5.275km long which means if you complete 4 laps you have done a half marathon, 8 laps, a full marathon, and anything more will be classed as an ultra. You can finish your event at any time within the six hours, and as long as you have completed one lap then you will be classed as a finisher.
