TrailX Easter Off Road Duathlon
TrailX Easter Off Road Duathlon

Organiser's Description
The super speedy course makes for really close racing, in past editions the leading competitors have been separated by just a few seconds, and the lead position changed hands multiple times throughout, making exciting racing.
There are two distances to choose from at the Easter Off-road Duathlon; FullX and HalfX, both distances use very similar courses, the HalfX misses a short section of gravel road on the run and does fewer laps of the mtb route.
FullX Off-road Duathlon – The FullX race is open to those aged 16 and upwards. It consists of a 3.1km trail run, followed by approximately 16km of cross country mountain biking and then finishes with another lap of the 3.1km trail run.
FullX Relay – You can also join up with a partner and complete the FullX event in a Relay Team – one of you does all the trail running and the other does all the mountain biking.
HalfX/Youth Off-road Duathlon – The format is exactly the same as the FullX event; run, ride, run but the distance for the trail run is 2.7km, the mountain bike is approximately 8km and this event is open to anyone who is over the age of 14 on the day of the event.

Course Details
Run routes
Both the HalfX and FullX courses use a great mix of grass track, woodland trails and a short section of gravel road (FullX only). From an open field start you’ll make your way to a fun woodland trail that is about 600m long. Shortly after leaving the woods the HalfX competitors split away from the FullX course and cut off a short piece of gravel road before re-joining a tree lined footpath that winds its way back to the arena
Bike route
The route is the same for both FullX and HalfX and makes the most of the super twisty single track that this venue is known for. The narrow woodland tracks are broken up by wide grass paths to make recovery and overtaking easy. Again there’s not much uphill making the mountain biking great fun and very accessible to all abilities.
