Walden Wild Canicross

This well-marked run takes place on a mixture of disused runways, gravel trails, muddy paths, cleared undergrowth, muddy wasteland, water features and patches of rough ground.

In addition there are thirteen challenges per lap, using the natural landscape of the airfield.

You can expect to get wet and muddy, and trail shoes with grip are essential.

We would also recommend wearing leg covering as there may be some undergrowth to run through.
The event consists of a 1 lap 9km or 2lap 18km race, with 13 natural obstacles to deal with each lap

There will be toilets available. It goes without saying that you are responsible for clearing up after your dog.
There will be a water station at the end of the lap and finish with water bowls for the dogs too.

All dogs must be under the control of someone age 16+ (on event day)

Race numbers will be collected at the the event venue on the morning of the race.

Registration opens at: 7:45m

Final race info will be emailed to you the week before the event and there will be a final pre-race briefing 10 minutes before the start

Please arrive in sufficient time to collect your race number.

Health
It is important that you and your dog are fit to run and have not experienced any Covid-19 symptoms in the 14 days leading up to the event.

Race Numbers
Runners must wear their race numbers pinned to the front of their tops. An additional number will be provided that can be attached to your 4-legged friend if you wish.

Parking
Parking available in the on-site car park – £3 parking fee will be charged at the entrance.

Changing Facilities
We will not be providing a changing area, therefore please come changed and ready to race.

Baggage Drop
No – the car park is close to the start/finish line

Toilets
There will be toilets available. It goes without saying that you are responsible for clearing up after your dog.

Water Station
There will be a water station at the end of the lap and finish with water bowls for the dogs too. All litter must be carried or deposited in the bins at the water station.
