Join Animal Performance Ltd® for the 4th Annual Red Warrior Multi Terrain Races on Sunday 10th March 2024 in Burry Port, Carmarthenshire. Choose from the 5K, 10K, or 20K races through the stunning Pembrey Country Park and surrounding woodland. With no public highways used, runners can enjoy the picturesque scenery without worrying about traffic. While not mud races, participants should be prepared for soft ground and muddy patches depending on the weather. All finishers, including dogs in the Canicross races starting at 09.30, will receive a top quality medal and have the chance to win trophies for fastest male and female finishers. Don't forget to order a race T-shirt to commemorate the event. There will be photo opportunities, a race video, and chip timing for accurate results. Grab some hot & cold food, drinks, and visit the toilet facilities near the start/finish area. Organiser's Description
The races are within the beautiful scenery/greenery of Pembrey Country Park and the surrounding woodland, no public highways are used. The courses will be well marshalled.
Whilst these are not mud races we are dependent on the weather so be prepared for some soft ground, standing water and muddy patches. It is strongly recommended that runners wear appropriate clothing for the time of year, especially footwear, to avoid injuries.
All entrants can order a race T shirt and there will be a top quality medal awarded to all finishers (including dogs) and also trophies will be awarded to the fastest male and female finishers in each race.
The winners names will also be entered onto the main trophy which will be the Warrior’s Sword, there will be photo opportunities and a race video.
There are separate Canicross races starting at 09.30 for those who want to run with their dogs. Hot & cold food and drinks will be available near the start/finish together with toilet facilities and ample parking. Caravan/camping pitches can be booked direct on Pembrey Country Parks website.
