Organiser's Description

The beautiful seaside town of Eastbourne welcomes athletes back for the Eastbourne Triathlon on the 10th June 2023. Athletes of all abilities and experience, from novice to elite, can sign up to take on the challenge. Starting from the lifeguard’s beach, triathletes will take on an iconic route, swimming against the backdrop of the historic Eastbourne pier, cycling on completely closed roads and running on the iconic promenade to Holywell, before finishing on the Western Lawns.

The Super-Sprint Novice Triathlon is ideal for anyone wanting to try the sport of triathlon for the first time. The event will start with a 400m sea swim, followed by a 9km cycle on a closed-road circuit and finishing with a 2.5km run.

Saturday's races start with TriStars Children's Triathlons for children aged 8 to 16. The schedule will start with a TriStar Start race for 8 year olds (100m swim, 1.5km bike and 600m run), followed by a series of races over increasing distances for older children. The TriStar races will end with a youth race for 15-16 year olds.

Saturday's schedule will finish with an exciting Mixed Team Relay. Teams of two males and two females will take on the Olympic format, each swimming 300m, cycling 6km and running 2km. This event will be strictly limited to 150 teams.
