Organiser's Description
Circuit running welcomes you to the FINISH LINE RUN , it's a 6 hour challenge timed event where you can run a 5k all the way up to ultra marathon within the time limit.
This event is to celebrate a good friend of ours and a regular runner of ours who is doing the awesome achievement of their 400th marathon. Everyone is welcome to run or walk their choice of distance.
The event will start at 9:30am and registration will open at 8:45am.
The course is 3.28 miles a lap but there'll be a 5k turn point and a 10k will be 2 laps of the 5k lap, a half marathon will be 4 laps of the 3.28 miles course, 8 laps for a marathon, 9 or more for an ultra marathon.
There'll be a table at the end of each lap with water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of different food.
You can start your last lap up until 5:59:59 hrs.
The course is mainly along an old railway line on a tarmac path with a small section at the start and finish of each lap on the field, the course is out and back with no navigation required.
Toilets will be at the pavillion on the playing field.
Parking: there is car parking in the car park at Skellingthorpe Community Centre.
After finishing you'll get a bespoke event themed medal and a goody bag.

Maximum distances permitted under rules are as follows:
Age 12-13 years. 5,000m
Age 14-15 years. 6,000m
Age 16 10,000m
Age 17 25,000m
Age 18-19 45,000m
Age 20 and over No maximum distance

Very friendly event. A lot of people clearly come to a lot of the events but were very welcoming to newcomers! A mix of all ages and it looked like a fairly even gender split too.
Briefing was succinct and to the point and we weren’t kept standing in the cold for too long which was appreciated.
Course was good - an out and back from the pavilion on the field so about 50m on grass but the rest was on tarmac and hard paths.
The route was pretty and it was fairly impossible to get lost (even for me!). The course was fairly busy with hikers (a hiking event, lots of cyclists and return parkrunners were on the same path) but everyone was courteous and friendly. Everyone showed how shared paths really can work.
Aid station was good with a mix of squashes, water and cola and some good pic n mix, pretzel and biscuits plus vegan options.
Results were out within about 6 hours which was a lovely surprise. Only thing I’d change would be to add race photographs as it was such a pretty route and it would be nice to have some lasting memories of it!
