Organiser's Description
Starting and finishing in Gateshead International Stadium and running along the formidable River Tyne, it’s a great 10k to warm you up for the Autumn event season.
Save some gas in the tank for that challenging hill at the end, they don’t call it ‘Slog on the Tyne’ for nothing!
We understand that there may be uncertainty over what is and isn’t going to be possible this year, but we want to give you the confidence to book your place knowing exactly what will happen if we can’t deliver the event as planned, or if you are personally effected by the pandemic.
In the scenario of a 2021 event date change or cancellation by us and for whatever reason, all entrants (including 2020 rollovers) will be automatically deferred into the subsequent staging of the event.

Course Details
Closed road event around the icons of the area.
Pass under the iconic Tyne Bridge and head along to the Sage Gateshead and BALTIC before bending back along the Quayside for a triumphant lap of the Gateshead International Stadium track.
The latest addition to the 10k course is the now infamous ’Slog on the Tyne’ section, a steady uphill climb that will really put your training to the test.
