Testimonials:

Shane - Lone Wolf 2024

*****

This event was phenomenal, where to begin: The camaraderie of the team was different level! They were super. The smiley marshals were lovely from the beginning until, rightly so, they faded away before the night closed in. Really enjoyed them sticking around to support.

From at the start, Paul calmly coordinated staff and participants. At 3/4am he drove down to certain parts of the track to keep us encouraged. To shaking my hand and looking me in the eye after 24 hours of running. He did everything with such good morality. When I consider what lessons I learnt it was the ones from how Paul carried himself and us.

I had the best 24 hours of my life!

Despite the awful weather and subsequent tricky ground conditions, the event was brilliant! It was Incredibly well organised with ample facilities and support. I hope Paul and the team see continued success with the race format next year!

Great event. Friendly, well-organised, relaxed. There was a hall used as the base between laps where you could keep your bag etc. The route was good - a mix of stony tracks and (very muddy this year!) single-track paths. The event format of one loop on the hour every hour is great - it means you're always running with others. Overall, I had a great time, and this is one I'll do again.

A first for me, never having attempted any ultra running. Awesome event. Gruelling course but the support from fellow runners really helped. Paul and his team managed the event so efficiently and I found Paul himself to offer real humanity, he genuinely cared about each runner during the event and took time after to ensure our wellbeing. I managed 10 laps, so happy with that for this year. I will definitely be back but better prepared! Thank you to my fellow runners, Marshall’s and organisers Tara

Wow! What an amazing atmosphere for an event that lasted 24hours it was just amazing how many people were there on the finish line clapping and cheering for everyone! It was amazing. The event was well planned, the route was good, tracks, hilly course, with some tarmac at the beginning at end. Facilities are good, with so many runners there was a marquee and a community room with plenty of chairs to eat and chill between running or put a camp bed up for when you finish. It felt extremely supportive! Lovely medal! Would recommend and will do it again! Thank you!
