First ever marathon and so glad I chose this one. Such beautiful scenery to keep you going, mind you i was extremely lucky with the weather, absolutely glorious. I found the volunteers to be really nice and encouraging to. The size of the event is really nice to, not massive but big enough. You can see why it is a must do marathon. Not too "undulating" either, there is only 2 real inclines to talk about at the half way point. If your thinking about doing this run I would recommend.
Done the 2025 marathon and enjoyed it more than most events. Good onsite parking well marshalled by the kind volunteers. Really efficient registration process and a lovely route. The event had a really pleasant atmosphere (probably aided by the amazing weather on the day) and I couldn’t really find much of a fault for the entry fee. Thanks again to the volunteers for their participation and to Run Nation for keeping this fairly low key even alive, I look forward to the next one!
Sadly due to last minute injury I was unable to compete but my daughter ran the half. As a spectator I found the whole event well run. Very friendly and helpful. A very family friendly event with great atmosphere, everyone supporting each other. I walked some of the route which was spectacular. Hopefully I’ll be back to compete next year.
My first ever organised run - it was the half. Loads of parking, awesome location, beautiful views for the run. My top tip - get into the queue for loos as soon as you get there. If you really fancy a challenge you can do a munro in the afternoon - Schiehallion is an amazing backdrop for the event and you'll be heading up when most folk are on their return 😀
