Course Details

The Swindon route starts and finishes in the field adjacent to the play area and meanders around Lydiard Park, taking in views of the house and lake. The route then heads out into the surroundings grounds looping around back to the finish area. The course is primarily on pathways with sections on mowed grass. The route has a section through the woods on the far side of the lake which includes a short incline.

Please arrive 30 to 45mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Further Information

This course is mainly on the paths within Lydiard Park apart from two sections on grass. These sections are in front of Lydiard House and in a field which is a shortcut for the course. There is a short incline into a wooded section near the lake.

With those considerations, the course is wheelchair accessible but with assistance, as these sections can be bumpy in places and can become boggy in poor weather conditions.

The start/finish area is also on grass and is approximately 75m from the main Lydiard Park car park, where there is blue badge parking and appropriate drop off points.

Meeting Point Information

The meeting point is situated in the middle of the racecourse on the farside of the pond. To get there you will need to walk through the famous stands and cross the race track into the centre. The finish line will also be within the similar vacinity.
