Course Details
Get ready Edingburgh to MoRun around the stunning Holyrood Park! The run route is essentially road running - hilly from the start up to 2km - dog friendly - ok for buggy running - suitable for wheelchairs. The 5k is one lap, the 10k is two laps and the half marathon is 4 laps.

My first-ever half-marathon was completed despite the snowstorm on the race day morning.
It was a great experience. There were lovely views from the top of the hill and two lakes on the route. However, the ground became a bit slippery as the snow started to melt fast, so I had to take extra caution when running down the hill to avoid injuring myself. The organisers informed all runners beforehand that everyone was running at their own risk. Fantastic memories!
For my first half marathon I was expecting a better atmosphere. Music was quiet and fell a bit flat. The speaker wasn’t great at getting everyone pumped up. Got the feeling the event volunteers were a bit fed up - granted it was raining. I don’t recommend for a first race choosing a course that’s 4x the same lap. Delighted the run is for a good cause, however think I’d rather donate money to men’s mental health awareness charity - and avoid the Morun in future!
