Course Details
The course is flat and mainly on paths with the exception of one section that is trail. The 5k is one lap, the 10k two and the half marathon is 4 laps with one additional 1.1k section.
Buggies are ok, the course is wheelchair friendly (just note the one section that is on trail)

Great event, ran on time, lots of parking, toilets and easy to access. Was a bit muddy but thats typical for the time of year. I feel for the number of runners taking part, some parts of the course were narrow, not allowing the faster runners to get by with ease. Additionally, as its a public park, there were several occasions people were not considerate of runners taking part in the race with dogs off leads, walking in the middle of the pavements. Maybe additional signs for runners and the public to "keep left" would also help with the flow and keeping paths clear for all users to enjoy the event.
A really fun race, well organised with a good bag drop system and a great route. The only improvement I would suggest is the loudspeaker: the chap organising the finish times in the starting funnel was using one that did not carry very far and the sound was not very clear, so there was a bit of congestion at the start of the race.
But I had a good time, got a nice medal, a good time, and I high-fived a penguin. The coconut water and the Penguin bars handed out at the end were also a nice treat.
These Winter Warmer events are always well-organised: clear communication beforehand, and good facilities on the day. Lots of helpful marshals out on the course, all cheerful despite standing out for a long time on a cold day. Maybe a few more drinks stations out on the course might have been useful, but no major issues. An enjoyable event.

The route was good but my Strava and Fitbit both measured the distance at 13.7 not 13.1
Hated going over the wobbly bridge
Medal at the end Beautiful never thought I would say didn’t buy the t-shirt but I did not because it was really bad quality and £20
Wonderful winter warmer thank you for an amazing event.
Really nice event, great location and staff organisers, will definitely be running this one again next year. Nice easy course with little elevation. Only downside if I had to pick any would be that there was some ‘traffic’ in narrow parts of the track which made it a little annoying when you’re running 4 abreast. Understandably little the organisers can do about this in a public space though.

This event was so well organised and had lovely people marshalling and running the stalls. Really great atmosphere and a lovely sized event. Lots of support offered. The route was well planned and was well sign posted. The event has made me want to do this every year as it was that enjoyable and will be lovely to look forward to. DEFINITE 5 STARS
Winter Warmer 5K, 10k & Half Marathon
A chilly February day,
There was a nip in the air.
A park in our capital city,
A run we would share.
Distances that would challenge,
Runners raring to go.
Through beautiful scenery,
And a famous rivers flow.
In the shadow of a castle,
Cold hands that would warm.
Enthusiastic and energized,
With the perfect running form.
Laps would be covered,
As lungs would get worked.
Everyone a winner,
Nobody shirked.
A medal was waiting,
On a morning so fine.
We even had a penguin,
As we crossed the line

Great, well organised, small event. If you're looking for a nice small event then this is definitely a good option, it is well organised and tick's all the boxes of what you require from a race.
Although the event is on the small side, it still offers both a 5K and a 10K race and the routes are well marshalled.
The 10K however, does mean a second loop of the course which can seem a chore but once you're on it, it's never as bad as you think it's going to be. It's a nice flat race in great scenery and with chocolate at the end.. what more could you ask for :)
