Organiser's Description

The Hamsterley 10 Miler begins at the Nest Car Park and is quickly followed by a challenging first 5km with steady climbs. The race is one large loop which turns and comes back to the start/finish area at the Nest Car Park, near the middle of the Hamsterley Forest Drive.

Chip timing will be used on this accurately measured route. All finishers will receive a bespoke medal and an optional race T-shirt available at an extra cost.

Location

Race HQ at Nest Car Park, Hamsterley Forest

The Forest sits wedged between Teesdale and Weardale in the heart of beautiful Durham Dales, approximately 10 miles (16 km) west of Bishop Auckland. The forest is signposted off the A68, north of West Auckland. Cars are charged £3 each (£5 on bank holiday weekends) on the Forest Drive to access the Forest and it’s facilities. Minibuses are charged at £8 each and coaches £12. There is no charge for visitors on foot.

2nd Male/Female overall – Voucher worth £30
3rd Male/Female overall – Voucher worth £20

Age Group Prizes (W35+ and M40+ in 5 yr bands (a minimum of 5 runners in each age band are required to qualify for a prize with no upper limit!)

1st Male Team – UKA Affiliated Clubs (position of first 3 male runners from club)
1st Female Team – UKA Affiliated Clubs (position of first 3 female runners from club)
