FAQs

  • Will I receive race information in the lead up to my event?

You will recieve information and instructions by email approximately 3 days before the race. It is important that your email account is accessible to you and that you check for the email before the race. Please be aware we do not post out race numbers, these are to be collected on the day from registration, we will provide safety pins.

  • Will I be chipped timed?

RUN NATION will always endeavour the produce your results with Chip Timing. Sometimes chips are not picked up for reasons outside our control (the chip didn't work or was covered up by clothing or was wet/damaged), in these cases we may have to refer to our video (GoPro) at the finish to manually identify runners. This allows us to guarantee a finish time When the race is chip timed, your race/bib number will have a foam strip with the chip underneath - Do not remove or damage the foam or chip. Your race number should be attached to your running top at all four corners and be visible throughout the race (including start and finish). The race results/positions are always based on the GUN time NOT the chip time - this is standard across all official running events across the world. The sport has rules that are consistent and used in all countries/races that follow the World governing body rules. The chip time is only used for personal use. The position the runners cross the finishing line is how ALL results are calculated. WHERE RUNNERS DO NOT WEAR THEIR NUMBER CORRECTLY - THEY MAY NOT GET A TIME. PLEASE DISPLAY YOUR NUMBER ON THE FRONT OF YOUR RUNNING TOP AT ALL TIMES.

Really poorly organised. Collection of the run numbers was disorganised, they hadn't got some runners, people queued for ages, and their printer had broken. There were only a small number of toilets, again with a massive queue. The run started late, there was no atmosphere at all even in a beautiful park. The markers didn't make any sense, and the laps/finish was very badly signposted. And the snacks had run out by the time the 1/2 marathon finished.

Terribly organised event by RunNation... The queues to register where really long and slow, with this pushing the startime to be 15 minutes late. There were very few marking along the route and we were only notified at the start that it was 7 laps and not 6 as stated on the site. It was difficult to know which lap you were on. Medals given we're off poor quality and just overall badly planned event and didn't feel like you were getting your money's worth.

Poorly organised race. Massive queue to collect number for the half marathon. Started late. Barely any signs up for distance for the half marathon. Only six portaloos for all the runners and these ended up being away from the course so not available after the start. Only toilet on the course was off route at the cafe which we weren’t told about. No snacks at the end and pretty flimsy cheap medal. All in all not a good experience.

Poorly organised event. Half marathon started 15 mins late - no announcement was made re this so everyone was confused and hovered at the start line - messed up peoples warm ups. No segregation between the 5/10/HM races - very confusing. The distance markers also seemed off. No signage for where to leave course to go to finish line. Stewards didn’t know answer to basic qs about the course. Beautiful terrain/setting for a race, but would not use Run Nation again. Disappointing.

Really poor. It’s a little cheaper than some others, but it showed. Random distance markings throughout the course with no explanation at the beginning. Hadn’t bothered to print numbers before the morning of the race and then shocked it didn’t work out. Felt like I was running around the park - really crap.

Poorly organised, late start. Incorrect distance markings, and little to no signs on route (might have well just run around the park). Provided toilets where off route so no option if you needed to go while running. Medals where made of etched MDF, not metal.

Absolute shambles of a race. Five portaloos, hadn’t printed the race numbers, made people queue twice to register, told weren’t allowed to take water until second lap, people being sent wrong way during the race, given a lolipop at the finish! Felt like a race organised by Apprentice candidates! Very angry runners, absolute crap.
