Organiser's Description

The 10th Something Wild Festival 2024 has Devon’s best trail running routes at its heart, a wonderful new venue and new routes, taking in the Avon and Salcombe estuaries and some of the best sections of the South West Coast Path

We have a fantastic venue for the Something Wild Festival, close to the sea, which sits at the fulcrum of the event routes and we’ve found the perfect spot, with the camping site, at the fulcrum of the race routes. We have moved the festival back to September, so there is little chance of ‘scrub fires’, which have occurred on this coastline in the summer.

Make this an autumn to remember and bring your family.

This year, we are kicking off the festival with a Friday night race, preceded by a cafe and bar, selling beer and non alcoholic beer.

Make this a summer to remember and bring your family.

This year, we are kicking off the festival with a Friday night guided run, which will be followed with live music and a children's film night.

The Festival site
The farmer has Kindly given access to his fields, overlooking the idyllic Hope Cove, and you’ll be hard pressed to find a better location to wake up to in the south west. close to ideal swimming spots in Hope Cove, East Soar and Bantham Bay.

The campsite is suitable for up to 50 tents, parking and camper vans, as well as and serving as the fulcrum for all our trail events, which is ideal for spectators.

We’ll be offering extra toilet facilities, as well as the Fishermen's Reading Rooms for our speaker’s evening and bar and a circus tent on site for music, as well as a festival fire with acoustic music, plus a bouncy castle for children.

Unique South West Coast Path Trails:

We have lined up some of the best coast routes on the South West Coast path for our night run, 5k, 10k or half marathon, marathon and Summit Wild Ultra as well as kid’s races.

We will kick off the festival with a night time run on Friday before the 10k and 5k on Saturday as well as swim runs and Rock Hard Coast swims and the half marathon, marathon and ultra on Sunday.
