Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at the Rye Ancient Trails 30K & 15K, set to take place on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in the picturesque town of Rye, East Sussex. Organised by Nice Work, this thrilling multi-terrain race invites runners of all abilities to explore the stunning High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Participants can choose between the challenging 30K route, which features an exhilarating 1,500 feet of climb, or the more accessible 15K option that turns at Peasmarsh.

As you navigate through ancient woodlands, peaceful country lanes, and historic Norman churches, you’ll be captivated by the breathtaking scenery that surrounds you. Not only will you challenge yourself physically, but you'll also be supporting a great cause, as the event raises funds for the Oliver Curd Trust. Every finisher will receive a bespoke medal, with additional prizes for the top male and female winners, age category champions, and affiliated teams in the 30K race. A stunning multi-terrain race through the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Sussex.

Event Overview:
This is a stunning route that weaves through the ancient trails in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Sussex.  This ever-popular event visits historic woodland, trails, quiet country lanes and links the Norman churches of Rye, Iden, Beckley, Northiam and Peasmarsh.   Not up for the full 30K? There is a 15K option on the same route, turning at Peasmarsh.   The Rye Ancient Trails 15K/30K raises money for the Oliver Curd Trust.  The race will be looking to attract runners of all abilities, from experienced athletes and those new to running. 

Course Details:
The route starts and finishes in the medieval town of Rye.   The undulating multi-terrain route includes 1,500ft of climb, with numerous gates and stiles to be negotiated, but the stunning scenery will keep you going to the finish.
