Organiser's Description

The Welwyn Half Marathon starts and finishes on the 400m athletics track at Gosling Sports Park - a great spectator location - and runs along the Cole Green Way, a disused railway line which is now the perfect running track. The route also incorporates pavements, closed roads and cycle paths.

There will also be the Welwyn Micro Marathon around the track for kids, which will be free! This always creates a fantastic atmosphere before the start of the main event.

Our official charity for this event is the Isabel Hospice, which provides free care for patients and their families living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in eastern Hertfordshire.

Great event. It was not the easiest Half Marathon as it has so many hills but the route was very nice with beautiful views and it’s a very good training for a Marathon. I loved the fact there was children’s race before. My son enjoyed it and was very proud of himself winning 3rd place and getting a fantastic medal. I would definitely recommend this half marathon to all runners who like challenge.
