SATURDAY 16 JANUARY 2027 | HOLMSLEY CAMPSITE, NEW FOREST
Set deep within the ancient woodlands of the New Forest National Park, the Maverick New Forest Gravel event is the perfect way to kickstart your 2027 season.
We’re serving up three beautifully crafted routes that weave through a living, breathing landscape of towering ancient trees, young woodland, evergreens and open forest trails. This is a place where nature is very much in charge - New Forest ponies roam freely across the landscape, deer move quietly through dense conifers, and every corner holds something waiting to be discovered. Keep your eyes open.
The trails themselves are a dream for gravel and trail runners alike - smooth, flowing, and predominantly gravel underfoot - but don’t be fooled. The New Forest always has a few surprises tucked away. Expect wet sections, playful mud, and short, sharp climbs that appear just when you’ve found your rhythm.
Whether you’re chasing a time or simply soaking it in, these routes will test you, reward you, and stay with you long after you’ve finished.
