PHOENIX - Doughnut Dash

Sun 11th January 2026

Two doughnut-shaped medals with pink and green icing designs. Each medal reads "Doughnut Dash" and features colorful ribbons. The pink medal is on the left, and the green medal is on the right, both resting on a white surface. A large group of runners begins a race on a wooded path, some wearing brightly colored shirts with numbers pinned to them. Trees line the path in the background, and it appears to be spring based on the greenery and attire of the participants.

. A group of people in athletic gear gather outside The Weir pub on a sunny day. Some are seated at picnic tables while others stand and chat. The atmosphere appears relaxed and social, with greenery and a two-story building in the background. A group of people standing under a "PHOENIX Running" tent, smiling and holding up their hands in celebration. They are wearing running gear and medals, indicating participation in a running event. The background features trees and sunlight filtering through the foliage.

Organiser's Description

Our annual Doughnut Dash is back yet again by very, very popular demand, I mean who doesn't like doughnuts, oh and running. This event usually sells out months in advance so please enter early if you can.

The medals are totally awesome, double sided, magnetic and with reversible ribbons, so if you really can't decide then simply have both, and, of course, 2026 has all new medal / doughnut colours and we're going bright neon colours!

The Doughnut Dash is going to be as much about eating doughnuts as it is running and lots of fun is always had by all - CHOMP!

This is one of our timed events where you choose - from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, out and back, course along the beautiful river Thames. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can get in the time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finishers' medal.

Not sure? Well the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance, simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right.

Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter.

Minimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in the time limit. Off road trail, the terrain is riverside towpath. The overall course has no elevation gain / loss making this a flat and fast route.

Does it exactly what it says on the tin - provides a flat, friendly, off road route with doughnuts! A lot of Krispy creme doughnuts. The medals are huge. If you bought them online they'd arrive and you'd think "this looked smaller in the image", possibly close to 6 inches across. Very pretty route looking out over the Thames and unaffordable houses with their dinghy's moored up outside. Even though it was minus 2 degrees C, this was worth travelling from Bath for.
