The Leeds Backyard Taster Event

You'll receive your pre-race briefing via email roughly ten days before the event date that will be packed full of all of the information that you may need to know.

• All the snacks and drinks that you could imagine
• Amazing support from Team Rasselbock and other runners
• Huge fully stocked aid station at race HQ

The route is currently a work in progress, but will be exactly 6.706km long from the village on the hill down to the woods and river in the grounds. A hearty mix of path and trail, expect muddy sections and puddles. We will update this section in the future with more details, but in the event of changes, the route will always be of the same length and character

We will not have sole use of the site and runners will not have the right of way and we will need to be considerate to all the other users of the area, be it walkers, cyclists, dog walkers, and children when passing through any of the “activity areas” of the park.

We do not have any secure baggage areas on site but you are more than welcome to leave your bags at the base camp. Whilst we can’t guarantee that they’ll be safe, there will always be someone from Rasselbock around.

You’re more than welcome to bring crew or a team with you on the day to keep you focused on the run.

We will have a fully stocked aid station at base camp full of all your favorite items, although if you are expecting energy tablets, gels, and supplements, you may need to bring your own as our aid station tends to lean towards the more “enjoyable fuel”. Imagine Fudge, cakes, cookies, and jelly babies, homemade cakes, along with all the savory alternatives.
