Organiser's Description

The Warwickshire Triathlon is a fun but challenging event set around the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon.

The event is aimed at all abilities and fitness levels, from complete novice to club and pro triathlete, as well as charity and fun competitors.

Stratford-upon-Avon offers plenty to do and see for all the family making it a great day out for those looking for something a little less energetic!

Parking

Parking is available at the leisure centre (Riverside Car Park) which is pay and display. The front of the leisure centre is now for permit holders only, please park on the main car park.

Midway through the morning the leisure centre car park will fill up, please use the multi storey pay and display car park which is opposite the leisure centre. There are other car parks within a short walk to the leisure centre.

There are permanent height restrictions on the leisure centre car park. Please check your height before entering any car park in Stratford. There is a specific motorhome parking bay at the leisure centre with no height restrictions.

Do not park on the coach or lorry park or on a kerb, as you will receive a fine!

At the Warwickshire Triathlon our “Fun” and “Sprint” distances are very popular with first timers and beginners, with short achievable distances that still offer a challenge.

Our fun & friendly events are open to everyone and an ideal introduction for beginners to the sport of triathlon.

We can offer lots of support and online beginners advice to help make your Triathlon the best it could possibly be for you.

As well as a great atmosphere, you are sure to gain a special sense of achievement as you cross the finish line to receive that all important “finishers” medal and confirmation the end result was worth every bit of hard work!

WE DO NOT POST ANYTHING OUT - you will collect your race numbers, tattoos, stickers etc. at registration on the day.

2024 Race Day information

CRUK wave

UK Triathlon and Cancer Research UK are proud to announce the launch of the CRUK Wave. The CRUK Wave is aimed at encouraging more participants, of any age, gender or ability, to unite and take on a challenge for the purpose of funding life-saving research into all 200 types of cancer.

This change comes after the success of the UK Triathlon Pink Wave, it reflects the movement towards a more inclusive environment for all participants who want to complete a triathlon at their own speed, whilst raising money for life-saving research.

We want to encourage everyone to have a go! Any age, any ability, just get together for the camaraderie and challenge, whilst raising vital funds for research into beating cancer.

UK Triathlon will donate £10 from every CRUK Wave entry to Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (No. 1089464) and Scotland (No. SC041666)

briefing

There will be a rolling race brief at the swimming pool. Please be pool side 15 minutes prior to your start time to allow plenty of time to listen to the race brief and to get in number order ready for your swim start. Please have your wrist band that is given to you at registration on your right wrist and visible as you queue for the swim start.

Everything was brilliant from start to finish. It was my mine and mybhusbands first triathlon. The communication before the day was brilliant, we felt completely ready and knew what to expect. In the day worked seamlessly, very organised and smooth transitions, lots of clear signage and amazing atmosphere. Will definitely be signing up for next year!

This was my first triathlon and as soon as I arrived I felt completely at ease. Very well organised and lovely volunteers giving lots of encouragement. I’ve already signed up for next year. Would fully recommend, absolutely brilliant.

First Triathlon. Awesome beginners event, pool system was effective, transition area had plenty of space, good fast bike route and the run was a mix of trail and path! Brilliant event, helpful staff and overall a good day!
