Organiser's Description

We’re back at FINGLE BRIDGE for a brand-new Apres-Midi SPRINGTIME adventure, with more hills, three new routes, and more trail running shenanigans than ever before!

Seriously vertiginous, with some great climbs, (almost touching the sky at the Cranbrook Hill Fort checkpoint), followed by leafy descents through the Big Woods, on some amazing trails around the River Teign valley.

After the initial climb to the fort, and the salubrious meander down through the Big Woods, the Half Marathon and 10km runners cross the river below Castle Drogo and onto the Two Moors Way briefly, passing through Rectory Woods and Drewston shadowlands before a steep descent to Fingle (for the 10km Finish).

For the NEW Half Marathon, we go out east into the Butterdon Ball Woods initially, before climbing high to Cranbrook Castle, followed by a steep descent to the deep river trails. Crossing the footbridge twice below Castle Drogo, passing the hydro station (look out for salmon jumping the falls!), before a final climb onto the Lower Deer Stalkers Path, high above Fingle Bridge, to the final downhill slalom to the finish. Almost 1000m of ascent in this one!

Mouth-watering stuff.. We’re going up into the ether from Fingle Bridge!
