The long-awaited return of our Epping Forest Trail 10k and 5k will be on Sunday 9th February 2025.
Epping Forest is an area of international conservation importance and boasts a seemingly endless network of paths and trails.
The 10k is two laps of the southern end of the forest near Chingford, while the 5k is just one lap.
The 10K starts at 10:00
The 5K starts at 10:15
The race is a short walk from Chingford station which has regular trains to/from London Liverpool Street.

The event running wise was perfect a great course. Something I’d do again.
The only downside I would say is starting time. Was meant to be 10k at 10am and 5k at 10:15am, which then the organiser said we are all starting at 10:15 but turned out to be 10:25am.
Another thing was the safety pins & the snacks at the end which I’m afraid brings the stars down to a 3.
A fun race, I would do this one again. Lovely run through beautiful forest. Mixed crowd, most doing a 2-lap 10k but a few (including me) dipping our toes in the water with a one-lap 5k. Unexplained late start, in the cold. Muddy. The course was quite soft due to wet weather - trail shoes were helpful. Bitterly cold afterwards, I needed warmer clothes to change into. There is a cafe by the car park.
