Organiser's Description

The long-awaited return of our Epping Forest Trail 10k and 5k will be on Saturday 1st April 2023.

Epping Forest is an area of international conservation importance and boasts a seemingly endless network of paths and trails.

The 10k is two laps of the southern end of the forest near Chingford, while the 5k is just one lap.

The race is a short walk from Chingford station which has regular trains to/from London Liverpool Street.

The courses are undulating and may be muddy: please wear appropriate footwear!

How to Get There

Starting and finishing on the open grassed area next to Chingford Plain Car Park.

Easy access walking from Chingford over ground station to the event.

The postcode for the Chingford Golf Course is E4 7QJ. The car park has not got its own postcode.

The entrance to the overflow car park is 200 metres or so further up the road from the Golf Course. Please do not to park in either the Golf Course car park or the main Chingford Plain Bury Road car park.

FAQs

  • Cut off Times

    As a guideline please look at the below times. If we are holding multiple races on the day you will have up until the cut off of the longest race to complete your run. 10k - 1 hour 30 minutes

  • When do I get my number/timing chip?

    All race numbers are collected on the day of the race from the race HQ on Chingford Plain next to the start. We will email final instructions a week before the race.

First Veteran in each age group (L35+ and M40+) (minimum of 5 in an age group for 1st to qualify for a prize) £10

Team prizes
First team for men and women (3 team members to score plus minimum of 3 teams to qualify. A UKA registered club vest must be worn)
