Not so sure about this one. Second time I've done it. Having multiple races at one time me at it was hard to get started on the 10k since if you overtake you risk colliding with front-runners of the previous wave (half marathon?) coming back on the same narrow path. They must not have liked it either. They were shouting at us to get out of the way. I found the km markers confusing too. The 4k marker was just a few paces past the first turning point so you'd expect the 8k marker to be just a few more paces past the start line but it wasn't, I ran for a minute or two past the start before I hit it, so at the very least one of those two markers was in the wrong place, and that just undermines my faith in the measuring. The fact that I always get a consistently worse time in this race than any other 10k I do makes me think maybe the course measurements aren't right. Meh, well, i wasn't after a PB, and it's a nice spot for a race so I don't want to be too negative, but there's a lingering feeling of disgruntlement, I'm afraid.

My first 10k - really enjoyed. I was nervous to attend on my own but the whole event was really well organised and the course was great!
