The Royal Borough of Kingston’s famous Half Marathon, starting and finishing in the historic ancient Market Place, is the perfect finale to the summer racing season. The course is fast and flat, with tremendous riverside views on a mix of traffic free and road sections. Ideal for runners wanting to grab a late half marathon PB or those looking for a scenic and pleasurable run. Kingston marketplace provides an atmospheric finish, with plenty of stalls offering a variety of foods, and many local restaurants and pubs for those looking for more leisurely post race relaxation.
It is also perfect preparation event if you are running a late autumn marathon like New York (4 week before), Valencia (9 weeks before) or Florence (7 weeks before) or you just want the challenge of completing a half marathon.

Route and elevation
Starting in the famous Ancient Market Place, runners will then cover 5 miles through the historic Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames before crossing over Kingston Bridge and heading up the iconic three mile stretch of the Barge Walk beside the Thames. The race then reaches the magnificent Hampton Court Palace before continuing through Thames Ditton and back towards Kingston for the famous Market Place finish.

Great event. The race organisers have pulled off yet another top drawer event! Well done to Quicksilver Running.
The course was well marshalled and everyone did a great job to make this a successful event.
