Set in the beautiful South Lake district, Holker Hall provides the centre of what will be amazing routes around this stunning peninsula. Taking in both coastal views and the beautiful fells synonymous with the Lakes, you’ll have the chance to explore areas within the estate that aren’t open to public. Take on a new challenge, test your trail running with a hill climb, or hone your gravel bike skills!

All mini runs will take place within the Holker Hall grounds so you don’t need to worry about little ones leaving the site.

How to Get There

Train - The nearest railway station to Holker Hall and Gardens is Cark-in-Cartmel which is a 15-minute walk away.
Car - Put LA11 7PL into your SATNAV and once you are close follow the signs for day tickets or weekend camping tickets.

Parking

Parking fees are included in your event ticket.

Location

Wild G.O.A.T is located in the stunning grounds of Holker Hall, LA11 7PL, 2 kilometres southwest of Cartmel and approximately 5 miles south of the A590. The inaugural event will take place from the 11th-13th of August 2023.

FAQs

  • Do I need to bring a tent?

    Yes, you will need to bring all of your own camping equipment including a tent. 2 nights of camping are included in your weekend ticket from Friday 11th August – Sunday 13th August.

  • Can I park next to my tent?

    No – the camping site is in a separate area to the car park for safety reasons however it is only a short walk.

  • How close is the camping site to the main festival area?

    The walk to the main site is less than a 5 minute walk from the campsite.

  • Is there electricity and charging points in the campsite?

    Currently we do not have any additional charging features available on site. We recommend that you bring personal charging / battery packs if required.

  • Can I bring my campervan?

    Yes – you’re more than welcome to bring your campervan but please note there will be a separate area for vans next to the campsite. We will not allow caravans on site.

  • What should I bring?

    Wild GOAT is an outdoor event and all in attendance are expected to bring suitable clothing and footwear for the duration of their stay. This includes suitable footwear for the trail runs and if you are bringing your bike, please ensure it is in good working order (that includes your breaks!) and remember your helmet. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.

  • What time does the main site open?

    Entertainment and event schedules will be confirmed on our website over the coming months and in your race guides. The main site opening times are: Friday 11th August 2023 Limited amenities and entertainment will be provided on Friday for those with a weekend camping pass. If you do not hold a weekend camping pass you will not be allowed access to the site. Entry time to the campsite will be available from 13:00hrs. Saturday 12th August 2023 The main festival site will be open to weekend and day ticket holders from 08:30hrs until late. Sunday 13th August 2023 The main festival site will be open to weekend and day ticket holders from 08:30hrs until 18:00hrs

  • I have purchased a weekend camping pass, what food is included?

    Our weekend campers will receive a total of 4 meals across the weekend: Friday; evening meal, Saturday; breakfast & evening meal, Sunday; breakfast. These will be available in the catering tent. Details of access and timings will be issued in your race guides. Choices will be available to suit all dietary requirements but please email the team if you have a specific allergy or requirement

  • Can I bring my own food/ alcohol?

    You are not permitted to bring your own food and alcohol onto the main event site (with the exception of water). Water will be available free of charge and there will also be a selection of catering outlets available on the main site. ‍

  • Are there other activities available other than the runs and rides?

    Yes, there are a vast array of activities available on site including; orienteering, Families on Track, talks with industry experts and G.O.A.Ts, food, music and much more!

  • Is there accessible camping?

    Yes. The Team at Wild G.O.A.T work hard to make adjustments and additions to the festival to make it as accessible as possible. If you have any questions about accessibility at the festival, please don’t hesitate to contact us [email protected]
