Run the Wild Technical Series - Navigation Intermediate

Aldbury, Tring, Hertfordshire

Aldbury, Tring, Hertfordshire

Sat 21st November 2020

Starting at 10:00

Organiser's Description

In our follow-on course to our Navigation Essentials we will get to grips with micro navigating, as well as using a compass. If you have some working knowledge of map reading already, and want to take your navigation to the next level, then this is the day for you! It aims to get you navigating competently and confidently in races, or for your own enjoyment. With a small group and plenty of one-to-one alongside group tuition, you will have the opportunity to really grasp this skill, both theoretically as well as practically.

You will be taught how to competently navigate in most conditions with a map and compass by a qualified International Mountain Leader and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Assessor. Once you've covered the theory in a classroom environment we move onto the trails for a few hours, to put everything you have learnt into practice.

The event is easily accessible, just 40 minutes North West of London by rail or road and there is free on-site parking for all runners.
