Sunrise to Sunset Challenge

The time limit to this race is based on sunrise to sunset, at this time sunrise is meant to be 5:50am and sunset is 20:16pm run as far as you can during the 14 hours and 26 minutes, your distance will be calculated at the time of sunset, if you do not complete the final lap by the sunset, then it will be calculated as the previous lap.

You can run as much or little as you want to, you can rest between laps if you like and head out for some more.

The Sunrise Challenge

Come and join us at 5:50am, you will have up to 7 hours to complete your distance, whether its a 5k, 10k, full or ultra distance, you will be able to keep going out of the base camp to complete how far you want to go, your distance will be calculated at the 7 hours cut off from when you start

The Sunset Challenge

Come and join us at 13:00 pm, you will have up to sunset to complete your distance, whether its a 5k, 10k, full or ultra distance, you will be able to keep going out of the base camp to complete how far you want to go, your distance will be calculated at the time of sunset which is currently calculated at 20:16pm allowing just over 7 hours, if you do not complete the final lap by the sunset, then it will be calculated as the previous lap.

You may be completing your first official 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even ultra-Marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th.

This race is also ideal for those who want to try and achieve a Marathon distance and for those who also want the option to push a little further, possibly an ultra but without the complications of trail ultras, with next to no navigation, no kit required, an aid station every lap and straightforward logistics.

We will be utilizing the Back Quack route (road & Trail route) which is a 6.55 mile loop. taking in the beautiful Suffolk Countryside

This is a new course and will be signposted, a GPX is a available as well at Suffolk Running Centre Routes (zigzagrunning.co.uk)

Parking is also included in your entry price. 

The Race HQ/Base Camp is located at the start and Lap point and at the base camp we will have our water/aid station.

Upon entry you will receive an email confirmation from your entry portal and Zig Zag Running. This will also contain the link to the race briefing information pack.

We have designed a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. Or if you choose the lucky dip finisher option, you will choose from a selection of previous or finisher medal.

Please note the event has gone cupless - so please bring your own bottles or cups for refilling.
