COVID-19 INFORMATION
Arrive wearing a mask and keep this on until you get to the start line where you can dispose of your mask in bins provided. You do not have to wear this during the run.
Please wherever possible, do not bring any baggage to the event. This is to protect both yourself and our staff.
Please respect social distancing before, during and after the completion of your run.
Immediately upon finishing we request that you make your way to the Gardens exit where in Brentford Car Park you will find water, goody bags and medals. It is of critical importance that the area around the finish line is kept clear to ensure everyone’s safety.
We know you may want to congratulate other runners on a great run, but please refrain from doing so in a physical way!

The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:
- A high temperature - this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

Organiser's Description
The Mile event will consist of two waves but is limited to only 300 participants. The first wave will start at 9.45am and will be an all ages competative mile, closely followed by a family mile wave starting 2 minutes after. All races will be chip timed on an officially measured course.

Flat tarmac inside Kew Gardens. Professionally measured and certified. No hills!

This brand new event is one lap, starting outside the Hive on the Broadwalk. Runners will head north and turn left at the Orangery before running anti-clockwise round the Great Lawn before coming back onto the Broadwalk and running round the Palm House before heading back upto the finish line back at the hive.

Minimum age
Entrants to the Kew The Run Competitive Mile & Family Mile on 10.04.2022 must be over the age of 4 to take part in this event. If entrant is younger than 7, we suggest they are accompanied by an adult at all times for safety of the runner and other participants.
about Kew the run
'timeoutdoors' Kew The Run is a weekend that hosts the Kew Gardens 10km on 9th April and the Kew Gardens Half Marathon and Kew Mile Run on 10th April. The 10K will take on a new course running entirely inside the flat Kew Gardens. The Half will start and finish inside Kew whilst taking on an additional flat and scenic route of the Kew Riverside.
After the events, finishers and their families* can explore London's no. 1 visited tourist attraction Kew Gardens that holds 50,000 living plants to be found across the UNESCO World Heritage site.
free admission for your spectators
*Kew Gardens is a ticketed venue so we are delighted that your race entry also allows an additional 2x adults and 2x children (U16) to enter with you FREE of charge when you arrive for the race! Spectators HAVE TO enter Kew Gardens with their runner before 9.30am in order to gain access. If your spectators wish to watch the finish line only and then enter with the runner then please can the runner visit our information tent in Brentford car park to collect a wrist band for your spectator. Runners can renenter Kew Gardens with their race number upto 12.00 noon.
Important Re-entry information for the Kew Half Marathon: Spectators can exit via Brentford Gate to watch runners finish in Brentford Car Park (we will give spectators a reentry wrist band to get back inside Kew via Brentford Gate). Spectators can re-enter Kew Gardens via Brentford Gate upto 12.00 noon.
Once you are in Kew Gardens after 12:00, you can remain there for the rest of the day but you cannot exit and then re-enter without paying the standard entry fee.
