Course Details
A sprint triathlon on the Cheshire plains. The event starts with a 400m swim in a 5 lane, 25m indoor pool at Wilmslow Leisure Centre. Transition is on the cricket pitch. he picturesque 24.2km cycle route is a mainly flat cycle ride in the Cheshire countryside through Ashley and Mobberley.
The 6.3km run goes out from the leisure centre along mainly quiet, leafy roads around east Wilmslow. This is a mostly flat route with some inclines near the River Bollin.
the swim
400m
16 lengths in the 25m heated pool, get there in plenty of time and watch the swim unfold in front of you.
the bike
24.2km
Undulating but forgiving bike course with a suburban start till you are out on the open roads of Cheshire taking in the villages of Ashley and Mobberley. There are a couple of cheeky climbs to keep you honest but nothing that would overly worry novice / experienced athlete alike. Back to the Leisure centre for the Run
the run
6.2km
After a quick change you are on the run which takes you down the lovely Bollin Valley. Nothing too steep, nothing too flat, mixed terrain but most trainers will be suited to this environment. Follow the signs and obey the marshall's instructions and you will be through the finish to collect your medal.
