You’ll be able to experience the atmosphere and nerves of a proper race day without all the training and added pressure that often comes with a half or full marathon. Start with a 5k if you’d rather keep your first event short; if you’re already running regularly, have a look at 10k races. The best option for you depends on your current fitness level and how much time you’re willing to spend training.
