August Challenge Club
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the July challenges. ONE THOUSAND of you ran, walked and cycled your way to unfettered glory 🎉. From first-timers doing a 5k, to friends teaming up to take on 2500k, success was everywhere.
Introducing the August Challenges.
The Cause:
This month the Club is supporting the National Literacy Trust. The lockdown has had a disproportionately negative impact on children from poorer backgrounds. The National Literacy Trust is working to support these children when they return to school this September after months of disrupted learning.
The Medal:
August's medal is a belter. Finished in light powder grey and featuring a quote from children's author, Dr Seuss, to act as constant reminder to keep climbing those mountains.
P.S. Following last week's announcements from the DCMS and National Governing Bodies, real mass-participation events will be making a very welcome return over the coming months. We'll be in touch next week with more information and a survey to gauge everyone's feelings towards participation.
