What is Challenge Club?
Challenge Club is a virtual run series from findarace.com. Entrants choose a cumulative or one-off distance to run, walk or cycle within a 30 day period. It's a great way to stay motivated, earn a medal and raise some money for charity.
What is a virtual race though?
A virtual race is just that. You can complete it whenever and wherever you want. You can do it at the gym, on the roads... anywhere you can run, walk or cycle. Please keep respect current local advice for social distancing at all times.
How does the charity donation work?
For the July challenge - £2.50 of the entry fees will go to the Alzheimer's Society. If you want to raise any additional money during your running that would be even better. There is also an option for an additional donation during check-out - 100% of this will go to the charity.
For the August challenge - £2.50 of the entry fee will go to the National Literacy Trust - an independent charity working with schools and communities to give disadvantaged children the literacy skills to succeed in life.
For the September challenge - £2.50 of the entry fee will go to Target Ovarian Cancer - a charity working to raise awareness and survival rates of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
What options are there for the Challenge Club?
We have a couple of options for Team, Solo and Kids challenges.
1) Team - Invite one or more people to achieve a team goal.
2) Solo - If you don't fancy either of the above you can just choose a distance or a race challenge on your own.
There are also kids race options for the little ones to get involved.
For more information on each of these please visit the event pages
What’s the difference between a distance challenge and a race challenge?
Distance Challenges are for a cumulative distance over multiple runs in the 30 day time period, whereas a Race Challenge has to be completed in one go. Choose whichever works best for your goals!
What do I have to do to sign up?
Super easy! Just choose the option that works best for you and enter your details. Once you've signed up we will keep you informed throughout the challenge. All you need to do is complete your challenge before the deadline, and upload your evidence.
For the collaborate options, your team members will get an invitation to sign themselves up to your team. Each signed up team member will get a medal once the challenge has been complete.
What do you mean by race evidence?
To get the medal we need to know you completed the challenge. We can take evidence in many forms; a photo of the distance on your watch/treadmill, a screenshot from any one of the running apps, an excel sheet you use to log your runs. We're the believing type so if you tell us you've done it, we trust you. You'd only be cheating yourself anyway and who would do that???
How do I upload my evidence?
You can upload your evidence as you go along and your progress will be displayed on the trackerboard. Please use your unique booking reference number when uploading evidence.
Where can I get information on the races I’ve entered?
We will send an email with all the information for your race and another to let you know to send over the evidence. If you have any questions at all just get in touch
Who can enter a virtual race?
Everyone! We suggest that anyone under 18 should complete the distance under supervision. By entering a FAR virtual race you agree that any injury or damage caused by completing your race / challenge is your own responsibility. FIND A RACE Ltd accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury occurring during completing a race / challenge. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
When will I get my medal?
As soon as your 30 day challenge period finishes we will send out a medal to everyone who has completed their race or challenge - so medals for the July Challenge will start being shipped in early August. It may take up a to 2 weeks from the end of your challenge period to receive your medal.
August challenge medals will be shipped in early September.
When will I get my T-Shirt?
T-Shirts are posted out with the medals, once the challenge has closed and has been completed.
Why has the price gone up?
We don't add extras such as booking fees or postage for UK addresses. The prices have risen since Act 1 as we have developed the challenge into something much more than it originally was. You now have your own challenge page with progress tracker boards, as well as overall leader boards and galleries, and you don't have to fill in a form to get your medal posted out!
We also want to make sure that we can keep supporting our charity partners by donating £2.50 of each entry fee.
And on top of all that we continue to set the bar with our awesome medals that included are part of your entry fee.
Who can I contact if someone goes wrong?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Please include your booking reference with any communications!
