Course Details

The inaugural 255 Triathlon will take place in the UK next summer at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit, West Sussex. The first edition of the race will be limited to 300 competitors, swimming in the nearby Westhampnett Lake before making their way onto the historic motor racing circuit. After completing 52 traffic-free laps on the bike, athletes will head out onto the run for ten laps of 5km. Competitors tackling this ultra-endurance event will have up to 18 hours to complete the distance.

The Swim - 5km

The swim will take place at Chichester Watersports at Westhampnett Lake. The swim route will consist of 4 laps of 1,250m. After each lap, you will exit the water, providing a great spectator experience.

The Bike - 200km

The bike route consists of 52 traffic-free laps of the historic Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit. This multi-lap format will provide you with access to your "special needs" nutrition box at your own designated place in the pit lane. Once again a great experience for both spectators and competitors.

The Run - 50km

The run will be 10 laps of 5km around the perimiter of Goodwood Circuit. After each 5km lap, you will again have acccess to your pit lane box, with an additional aid station at the 2.5km point.

The Pit Lane

The pit lane will be the central focus of the event for both competitors and spectators. You will be able to access your own designated box in the pit lane providing access to "special needs" nutrition throughout both the bike and run.

Relay Option

The 255 Triathlon relay is unlike a traditional triathlon relay format, yet is very simple: As a team of either two, three or four you must complete the 255km race between you. You can make exchanges between team members at any point in the race with only two conditions:

- You can only exchange in the designated changeover area at the end of a lap.

- On the bike you must complete a minimum of 10 laps between changeovers.

The 5km swim consists of four laps of 1,250m giving the opportunity for up to four team members to all take part in a swim. The bike will be 52 laps, each of 3.8km, giving the opportunity for up to five stints of 10 or more laps. The 50km run will be 10 laps, giving the opportunity for up to 10 individual stints from as little as 5km each.

Includes free on-site camping!
