Course Details

The swim takes place in the beautiful Merchant Taylors Lake, popular with the North London open-water swimming community for its clear water and opportunities to spot local wildlife on the bank. The course will use a single 400m, 750m and a 1500m lap.

The bike heads out through the exclusive Moor Park estate (try not to let the multi-million pound mansions distract you from the task in hand!) before joining the main loop that winds its way up towards Harefield. This is where the SuperSprint will take a left-turn to shortcut the lap, looping round the back of Ruislip Woods Nature Reserve and returning through Bishops Wood and Batchworth. The SuperSprint and Sprint complete one lap before returning through the Moor Park estate, while the Standard will enjoy two laps of this undulating course.
Note that this bike course is on the public highway and you must be over 15 on race day to participate.

After returning to transition on the school’s astroturf pitches, you’ll don your trainers for a 2.5km flat lap around the lake. The SuperSprint will complete this once, Sprint distance twice, and the Standard four times. This multi-lap route lends itself to great spectator support within the picturesque grounds.
