Join us for the inaugural Phoenix Running Manchester Bobble Wobble Run on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, along the scenic River Mersey towpath in Manchester, Lancashire! This exciting festive event, organized by Phoenix Running Manchester, promises a delightful day filled with running, community spirit, and a touch of holiday cheer. Participants can choose to run a minimum distance of 3.28 miles, with the option to continue for up to 7 hours, making it perfect for runners of all levels.

Each finisher will be rewarded with a stylish black bobble hat featuring vibrant yellow Phoenix embroidery, along with a medal to commemorate their achievement. With a flexible “rock up and run” format that allows you to start anytime from 8:00 AM onwards, there’s no pressure to rush—just come, enjoy the atmosphere, and run at your own pace! Plus, every entry supports the Flock and Fluff Charity, which rescues and rehabilitates abandoned animals. Organiser's Description

Phoenix Running Manchester is inviting you to join us for our first 'Bobble Wobble' down on the River Mersey towpath this festive season and as always we're introducing a Brand New colour for our Manchester run!

Our 2025 bobble hat is simply gorgeous; presented in Black with yellow Phoenix, embroidery. This is a very high quality, double-lined, nice and warm, bobble hat.  These really are lovely and all finishers receive a hat and medal as part of the entry.

We will have a rock up and run option, so you can start any time 8.00am onwards, there is no pressure to start at a particular time. If you have any further requests on the start times, please just email us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate everyone.

Not sure on the distance?  Well, the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance - simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right.

Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter.

Parkrun compatible: Our Saturday runs are parkrun compatible, so you can show us your parkrun time and we will include it as a lap for you in your overall distance.

Chosen charity: 
Flock and Fluff Charity who rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted, and abandoned animals, from small farm animals to horses, cats, alpacas, chickens and more, giving them a second chance at a happy life. For every entry, we donate a £1 at no extra cost to you! For example, if we get 100 entries, we will donate £100.

Registration from 7.30am (please don't arrive before this time.)

Minimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in 7 hours. Off road trail, the terrain is trail towpath in Chorlton Water Park, and along the river. Light trail shoes or road shoes will be suitable for this path if it's been dry. The overall course has no elevation gain / loss making this a flat and fast route.

Toilets available at Hardy Farm.

Parking: Free parking for 75 cars in Hardy Farm on a first come basis. 
Public car parks available around the park and Sale Water Park. 
Please park sensibly and don't block residential driveways.
