The legendary Boston Marathon course follows a point-to-point route from the rural New England town of Hopkinton to Boston, finishing near the John Hancock Tower in Copley Square. The Boston marathon made headline news for all of the wrong reasons in 2013, but far from putting runners off the idea of running in the oldest of all International Marathons it has created a feeling of solidarity and increased demand many fold.
