Organiser's Description

The key component of the BrainRace is time: teams will be rewarded for finishing quickly, however there will be time bonuses available based on the optional completion of intellectual puzzles and challenges. These puzzles will vary in difficulty, allowing each team to decide upon a unique strategy dependent on their individual strengths and weaknesses.

The Race
The BrainRace is a fixed time, app-based event that will incorporate bonuses based on additional challenges completed.

As a pair you will have two hours to walk, jog, and run 5-10km between you, although you may choose to travel significantly further in order to achieve the optimal score!

Course Details

The distance of the race is up to you! However, the trail will be a mixture of hills and flat.

What's Included

We will give each pair access to our unique app prior to event day. The details of the race will be available via the app on the day of the race.
We will also offer pre-event brain training puzzles to help train pairs and prepare them for the race ahead.

By Car
Look out for the brown tourist signs that have the white stag on a purple background.

By Public Transport
The nearest train stations Rugeley Trent Valley and Rugeley Town are both approximately 2 miles away.

The Race

what to bring

SMARTPHONE AND BRAINRACE APP
To take part in the BrainRace you will need to download our BrainRace App on your smartphone, and ensure you have enough battery for the duration of the event.
CLOTHING & GEAR
Sports clothes and gear – a change of footwear are recommended.
WATCH
While your stage time will be recorded through the app, you may wish to bring a watch with a stopwatch function to help synchronise timings with your partner.
PEN AND PAPER
We highly recommend bringing a pen and paper to help with solving some of the puzzles – some are more fiendish than others.
WATERPROOFS
Bring suitable waterproofs – just in case. It is Britain, don’t forget!
YOUR PARTNER
Don’t forget your partner! You’ll need to sign up in pairs so make sure they are available too.
