Canaccord Jersey Half Marathon
The Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management Jersey Half Marathon is a scenic, fast, point to point road race which attracts over 600 runners. Started in 1989, the Jersey Half Marathon is now in its 31st year. A stunning location for this point to point half marathon, which starts from St. Ouen’s Parish Hall, and finishes in Le Jardin de Mer, Waterfront, St.Helier. Follow the coast line of Jersey's West coast on this fast course and pick up a new pb.

By train and ferry: It's easy to reach Jersey by train & ferry, a more civilised, less stressful & more environmentally-friendly way to go. Take a train from your local station to Poole or Portsmouth, from where you can catch the ferry to Jersey (St.Helier - about 8 hours). You can take your car on the ferry should you wish. Ferries run daily from both Poole and Portsmouth.
By air: Jersey Airport is an international airport in Saint Peter, 7.4k West northwest of Saint Helier, with key airports serviced all year-round including London Gatwick, Glasgow International, Manchester and Cardiff. There are also flights into Jersey from from Guernsey, Alderney, Bournemouth, Exeter, Leeds and Southampton.
By bus: Jersey’s small size makes it an ideal place for travel by bus. Jersey bus station is Liberation Station in St. Helier, from where there are bus routes and stops all around the Island, including the venue in Saint Ouen's.
Parking is extremely limited in St.Ouens Village and we have been asked by the Parish not to park in the Parish Hall or shopping areas, bus stops or along the roads.
Please note that tshirts are ordered according to the size you requested at registration so we cannot exchange on the day. Tshirts are provided as part of your entry.
Runners to collect RACE PACKS (Numbers, tshirts, pins and race info) from Canaccord Genuity, 37 The Esplanade, St Helier. Please can all Jersey based runners try and collect their packs on Thursday and Friday to allow runners from overseas priority on the Saturday due to travel.

UK and overseas runners may collect Tshirts as above, or if they are not on Island can collect from the start or at the finish line, you will need to show your race number. Tshirts will not be able to be exchanged.
If you cannot run, please contact the Race Director. Refunds will not be offered but in return for marshalling you will be offered a deferral for the following year. Please note that deferrals are always at the Race Director's discretion.
Name changes are not acceptable, if you are unable to run please inform the Race Director.

DURING THE RACE
Please follow the instructions of both the Honorary Police and marshals; they are there to ensure your safety and the Race Organisers will disqualify runners for not following their instructions. Their support allows these events to continue so please give them a smile.
Runners wishing to wear MP3 / Ipods etc, do so as their own risk; please take care and ensure you are able to hear safety instructions and other road users.
Numbers must be worn on the front of your shirt and must be visible at all times.
Timing will be recorded by automated timing system and will record both Gun and Chip times, so please do not remove / damage the transponders on the rear of your race bib.
There will be one section around L’Etacq where marshals will ask you to run on the RIGHT side, this is for your own safety.
For the majority of the race you will be on roads and will keep to the LEFT side of the road and so you will be running with the traffic.
Whilst running on the Railway Walk and the promenade area of St. Aubin please be aware of walkers, cyclists and other members of the public, you do not have right of way and please remember to thank them if they give way.
Run Jersey Events seeks to reduce the environmental impact of the Jersey Half Marathon. We will not be supplying or using plastic bottles and are looking to reduce waste. Water will be available at the start and finish. We are looking for a solutions that minimises the carbon footprint of the event and we would encourage you to carry your own hydration systyem (Bottle, hydration pack etc). On the race course water will be supplied at miles 4 / 7 /10 / 12, and we are proud to be using innovative edible seaweed pods as used at London Marathon. This will save over 2000 cups / plastic bottles from being disposed of and reduce the quantity of water wasted.
As part of our attempts to reduce the environmental impact and for your convenience, transport is available from St. Helier to the start area. Please book at registration.
The Canaccord Genuity Jersey Half Marathon supports Jersey Sports Association for the Disabled and encourages all runners to support this charity. If all runners raised £10, the JSAD would benefit by over £6000 to support their chosen sports. Please hand in sponsorship monies when collecting Race packs or at registration table on race day. The JSAD is very grateful for your support and this enables them to continue their fantastic work, any money you raise will be put to good use. Please also feel free to raise sponsorship for your own chosen charity.

We ask for mobile contact so you are kept up to date with information, results and any changes. This information will not be shared or used for any other purpose.
Channel Island runners please specify which Island you are from.
Coaches: We would recommend that you make use of this service and then your car will be ready for you at the end when your legs are most weary! Coaches will be available to transport runners from STAND O, Liberation Station, St. Helier to the Start. Transport will need to be booked when registering.
The first coach will be leaving at 7.15am and then we will be continuing to transport runners from that time. To ensure that you reach the start on time we will need to ensure that the last coach is away by 8.15 at the latest.
Dropping off: Runners being dropped off must use the bus lay by. Please do not drive up to the Parish Hall.
