Organiser's Description

Challenge Roth is the legendary mother of the Challenge Family global series, and the World’s largest long distance triathlon - the place where triathlon history is made, with so many sporting records repeatedly rewritten on its fast course. This event attracts not only the biggest names in the sport, but also 5,000 athletes from 60 nations and 180,000 spectators. The swim takes place in the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal around 10k outside Roth. The bike leg uses a two-lap course in the countryside, mostly South of Roth, the southernmost point being Greding. The course is mostly flat with a toughish hill once per lap. The run goes once around a course with several turning points, a major part of which is along the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal. The finish is in central Roth.
