Lace up your running shoes prepare for an exhilarating journey through some of the most stunning landscapes beside the River Thames. As you embark on the run, you'll be surrounded by Cookham's quintessential English countryside, with its serene riverside paths and lush greenery, offering a delightful and scenic off-road route for participants.

The Cookham Run is an annual charity event that takes place in Cookham, a village located alongside the River Thames in Berkshire, England. The run is organised to raise money for various charitable causes, and its proximity to the River Thames adds to the scenic and enjoyable nature of the event.
The Cookham Run is organised by the Rotary Club of Cookham Bridge. The Rotary Club is a global service organisation that focuses on humanitarian efforts and community service. As you run, our professional timing system ensures accurate recording of your race time, enabling you to track your performance with precision.

That's why every participant is rewarded with a distinctive finisher's medal, a tangible symbol of your accomplishment. To further commemorate your participation, an official completion certificate will be yours to proudly display.

All result and timings can be downloaded immediately after the race via a Qr code.

How to Get There

The course encompasses Marsh meadow and Cock Marsh and can be accessed from the B4447 (use SL6 9SB for satnav).
Travelling from E-W the entrance is on the rhs where there will be banners and marshals to direct across the field to a second entrance to the to the ‘run’ car park W3W (///forensic.impaled.headlines). Don’t use the further ‘Cookham Moor NT’ Car Park.

  • What are the features of the race?

    The Cookham Run offers a distinctive off-road trail race experience. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the flat course provides an accessible challenge for runners of all levels. Alongside the scenic River Thames, the off-road route creates a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for both seasoned runners and families.

  • Can I participate in both the 5K and 10K races?

    The two races are run simultaneously. 10K runners will get their 5K time but it is not possible to run the two races sequentially.

  • Are there age restrictions for participating in the event?

    Cookham Run typically require participants to be 12 years old or older. This ensures that the event is safe and suitable for participants of a certain age range. Younger individuals may need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • What time does the race start?

    Both 5K and 10K start at 10:30 a.m. In order to limit congestion and for you to get the best time possible, we will operating a staggered start. Your time will be professionally and accurately measured when you cross the start/finish line.

  • What time should I arrive?

    45 minutes to 1 hour before the start. i.e. 9:30 -9:45

  • Is there parking available for participants?

    There is ample free off-road parking available for all participants
