Organiser's Description
The Cyclone Festival of Cycling will once again attract thousands of cyclists and spectators to the North East as it returns for its 12th edition Designed to cater for the needs of both competitive and none competitive cyclists, it is now one of the premier cycling festivals in the UK. and attracts people from all over the World. The 2018 festival will feature the Tyne 6 Bridges, leisure rides of 10.5 and 15.5 miles for all ages and abilities, and the Cyclone Challenge 34, 64, 90 and 106 mile rides, with beautiful and varied routes of differing difficulty. All rides go out into rural Northumberland on very quiet and scenic roads. The UK National Time Trial Championship will be the opening event of the Festival, and the final event will see the best male and female riders in the country compete to be the UK National Road Championships.
