Organiser's Description

The Cyclone Festival of Cycling was created in 2007 to encourage people to get out on their bikes, get fitter and enjoy the countryside. Designed to cater for the needs of both competitive and none competitive cyclists, it is now one of the premier cycling festivals in the UK. and attracts people from all over the World. The 2016 three day festival between 17-19 June, will see 4 events taking place: the Tyne 6 Bridges, leisure rides of 10.5 and 15.5 miles for all ages and abilities; the Cyclone Challenge, 4 rides of 34, 64, 90, 106 miles of differing difficulty; the Beaumont Trophy, 6 circuits totalling 117 miles; the Curlew Cup, the Women's National Series Road Race consisting of 3 laps totalling 66.6 miles. All rides go out into rural Northumberland on very quiet and scenic roads.
